I REALLY HATE TO POST THIS REVIEW, but I need to speak my piece about the way that I was treated. I had used Flores in the past; I do not want to impugn their reasonable response time, repair skills or charges. I thought that they were good and had used them twice or more in the past. Today was very different.
Today, my repairman arrived for a down blower, I do not know his name as he never mentioned it, but he remembered my house from a previous visit. He did not hand me a card.
The unit was on the roof, and we used my ladder to go up. Tthere were some screws absent from the housing. He asked if anyone had worked on it and I told him about prior service by another company, and after he left, I later remembered that Flores had serviced it as well. He got to work removing the screws on a panel.The technician worked for about 5 minutes, only removing 3 or 4 screws and partially removing an access panel before he stood up and told me that he could not work here and would not talk to me. He said that he did not want to be watched, but he had never even mentioned once that he felt crowded. I offered to leave, but he was immutable and had made up his mind. Oddly, he kept on saying that "I am professional", but he ignored my pleas to stay and repair the AC for my daughter's room despite the triple digit temps.
In the past, my presence had been helpful, as they had even borrowed my tools that I had offered as they did not have those tools with them. No one had ever asked me to be left alone or expressed concern that I was in the way.
Today, he packed up and left and referred me to a service with godawful Yelp and Google reviews. I cannot help but think that this referral was actually spiteful. I will try and post a photo of the reviews of this other service below. The company had 174 ones star and 68 five star reviews and this is who he thinks would be the best alternative? After I researched his recommendation, I texted him back and apologized for any miscommunication. I mentioned the awful reviews of the company that he referred me to and asked him if he had any other suggestions. He took the time to respond by text "Sorry can I be texting while I'm driving thank you", but no company was ever suggested.
There now, I have said it. Obviously this was a man with a short fuse today and lacking interpersonal skills. I guess that he expected me to read his mind and know that he felt crowded. I was just trying to understand what was going on inside of my AC. Excuse me! Hopefully this was just a bad day for him. Now the cool morning has passed and I will have to fish for a repairman to be on the roof in the heat of the day.
